The Costa de Prata is placed enters Oporto and Lisbon and is characterized essentially by being a rich region in historical monuments. The temperatures are mediterranic and the landscape is fantastic. In Aveiro, city very influenced by the sea, the fishing mans still make every day the auction of the fished . The canals that cross the city are full of very characteristic peatonal bridges. Continuing in South direction, the Figueira da Foz, situated in the estuary of the River Mondego is very coveted by the tourists due ace its beautiful beaches and some monuments to visit, as the Fortaleza de Sta. Catarina and the Municipal Museum. A little more far from the sea finds Coimbra, City of the Students, where if tradition breathes. This is marked by having one of the universities oldest of the oldest Europe and of Portugal. The Botanical Garden, of incalculable beauty, makes an excuse to the Penedo da Saudade and, there of the high one, the Tower of the University and the statue of D. Dinis they are certifications of the biggest party of farewell of the country, the Queima das Fitas, that how said the "Poet " Coimbra has more enchantment when we say good bye". Pombal,  where the marks left for the history are very clear, detaches the influences of noble personages as the Marques de Pombal. The Castle of Pombal, established for the templaries, cannot leave of being visited. Descending until Leiria, can visit notables monuments , as the Cathedral, the Church of S. Pedro, the Church of Nossa Sra. da Pena, among others. Next to Pombal its Nazaré, recognized by the beauty of its beach and cliffs, it attracts thousand of tourist every year. The fishing tradition is remained. Arriving to Santarém, chapitall of Ribatejo, the plains apears. It does not leave without visit the Jardim das Portas do Sol nor loses of sight the medieval walls of the city. Relatively to the gastronomy of Costa de Prata, the fish plates are appreciated, nominated the Caldeirada de Enguia. But nobody is indifferent to the Leitão da Bairrada or a good Chanfana. To finish, Ovos Moles or Pão-de-ló of Ovar make delights of any one.
