The archipelago of the Azores consists of nine islands, divided into three groups in the north Atlantic Ocean. The western group is formed by the islands of Flores and Corvo, the Central Group, formed by the islands Terceira, Faial, Pico, S. Jorge and Graciosa and, in turn, the eastern group is formed by St ª. Maria, S. Ants and Miguel Islands.
