The New Year is celebrated around the world and Portugal no exception to the rule.
Every year, on December 31 at midnight people leave the streets and celebrate the transition to a new year, always wishing that the next year is better than the previous.
Some choose to stay at home with family, others have fun in bars, discos and casinos. Those who like the mountains, celebrating in the Serra da Estrela.
The biggest party is no room for doubt in Madeira, especially in Funchal, with its magnificent fireworks. It is no coincidence that Wood holds the record of "largest firework display in the world, recognized by Guinness World Records ™.
